The Summer Riding Dress and Hat (also known as Josefina's Summer Outfit) was introduced to Josefina's Collection in 1998 and retired in 2018. It is associated with the book Josefina Saves the Day.

Short-sleeved, calf length orange print dress. Fabric is orange with dark orange stripes and white flowers. Puffed short sleeves. Gathered empire-style bodice. A-line skirt. Three tiered ruffled bottom hem. Velcros up the back.
Vest

Leather bolero style vest. Circular flower border and flower design on sides.
The vest came with a card explaining that variations in the leather are to be expected.
Hat
